The Engineering and Geoscience Education Foundation, formerly the APEGM Foundation, is a not-for-profit Manitoba corporation whose purpose is to advance and support the education of students of engineering and geoscience. Land acknowledgment and commitment
We acknowledge that the Engineering Geoscience Education Foundation is located on Treaty 1 territory and the original lands of the Dene, Anishinaabe, Ininew, Anishininew, Dakota, Nakota and Lakota people and the homeland of the Métis Nation.
We respect the Treaties that were made on these territories, we acknowledge the harms and mistakes of the past, and we dedicate ourselves to move forward in partnership with Indigenous communities in a spirit of reconciliation and collaboration.
By-law
The original bylaw was amended three times: in 2013 to alter the board size from 10 to 15,
in 2021 to implement staggered two-year board terms,
and in 2022 to reflect the foundation’s new name.

The Foundation has a calendar fiscal year and the annual reports are approved by the members at the Annual General Meeting the following year. Note that annual reports to December 31, 2021 will bear the original name of the Foundation — APEGM Foundation Inc.

Membership
Membership in the Foundation entitles you to attend any Board meeting (with notice) and the annual general meeting (AGM) of the Foundation, usually held in the third week of June. As a member, you will be entitled to vote at the AGM.
Membership is available upon donation of $10.00 or more to the Foundation.
The Foundation Board consists primarily of engineers, geoscientists and others with a broad range of field-related experience and skills that enable the Board to target the needs of engineering and geoscience students. You can feel confident that the Foundation will make sound decisions about how your donation will be spent.
A tax receipt is issued for every donation.
